Retail stores that stock the Wednesday Addams dolls are in disarray after TikTokers tampered with the stock.

Fans of The Addams Family have been leaving plush toy characters of Wednesday dolls without hair.
The viral trend for balding has got so widespread that one department store even put a poster up saying: “Do not flip Wednesday’s hair, you will be asked to leave”.
The trend has gained so much popularity that the actress felt compelled to take to social media to step in.
Jenna Ortega who plays Wednesday commented on one video saying: “Please don’t”.
Fans were left amused in the comments, and brands including Fanta, Play-Doh, and La Roche Posay joined in on the joke.
Skincare company La Roche Posay wrote: “The way the dolls look like they were over it too”.
Another fan commented: “That’s not Wednesday, that’s Thursday”.
However, this isn't the first Wednesday-inspired trend on TikTok.

In January 2023, the series was renewed for a second season, which is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
The show was originally filmed in Romania, but the show began filming the second series in Ireland in May 2024.
Wednesday on screen
The character Wednesday, was first brought to viewers attention in the TV series The Addams Family from 1964-1966, after starting life as a cartoon in comics.
Wednesday was played by Lisa Loring, who reprised the role in the 1977 movie Halloween with the New Addams Family.
In 1991, The Addams Family returned as a film with Anjelica Huston as Morticia Addams, and Christina Ricci as Wednesday.
A second film, Addams Family Values, was released in 1993 with the same cast.
Christina joined the 2022 cast of Wednesday - but as red-haired Mrs. Thornhill, a botanical sciences teacher.
