She has 1.3million subscribers on YouTube who tune in to watch Curry narrate stories while playing Skyrim.

Known by her fans as the ‘Skyrim Grandma’, her videos can accrue millions of views.

However, Curry has announced that she will be retiring from making gaming videos in a heartfelt vlog titled “No More Gaming Videos”.

In the video she describes how she no longer looks forward to creating her Skyrim videos, and that she doesn’t find it “fun” anymore.

More in Gaming

In the video she says: “It seems I spend most of my time sitting here at this computer.

“And lately, probably for the last month, I walk in here and look at my computer, and think ‘I’ve got to make a video today’.

“And then I just shake my head at myself and say, ‘I don’t want to. I have no desire to’, and I turn around and walk back out.’

“I’m just doing it for fun, and it isn’t fun anymore. I’m tired of it, and I’m bored to death with it.

“So I’m making the decision now, totally, finally. I am not going to be making any more game videos.”

She says that the decision to step away from the Skyrim and other gaming content is because “I’m old and I’m tired, and I don’t feel like doing much anymore”

Curry, who is now 88 years old, is not stepping away from her YouTube channel completely, and will instead be shifting the focus of her videos.

She told her fans that she will still be posting vlogs to update people on her life and what she’s been doing.

With her extra free time, she plans on making a quilt, a project she has been thinking of starting for a long time.

Her viewers, who she affectionately calls ‘grandkids’, were upset by the news but clearly understanding.

Curry has managed to grow a kind and caring community around her channel, and they all wish her the best in her future and with her quilt.

One of her subscribers wrote: “We will miss you so much, but are left with a wonderful digital library of your content to entertain us endlessly.

“You have been a beacon of light and joy for me and many others over the years.
