Apple PULLS new iPadOS 18 update just days after release as users complain their tech is now useless
APPLE has had to pull a new iPad update after users complained that it had "bricked" their device, according to reports.
The tech giant has only just unleashed new software for both iPhone in the form of iOS 18, as well as its iPad counterpart iPadOS 18.
Both boast a number of fresh features including a new app for passwords, the ability to hide embarrassing apps and greater customisation than ever before.
They will also get some big AI upgrades in a future update soon.
Version 18 was released to the world on Monday but some iPad owners appear to have run into problems.
A number of frustrated users have come forward saying their tablet is "bricked" after installing iPadOS 18, meaning it will "no longer turn on".

"I walked away during the update so I’m not sure when it broke," one person wrote on Reddit.
"I tried all of the reset options but nothing worked.
"I just took it to the Apple Store who confirmed it’s completely bricked, but they said they had to send it out to their engineers before they can give me a replacement even though I have Apple care."
Another affected user said: "No one was particularly apologetic and they even insinuated that there was no way for them to know whether the update caused this.
"I have a work trip scheduled for which I was going to use iPad for a presentation. I am so upset."
The issue appears to impact the M4 iPad Pro models, though it doesn't seem to hit all.

A broken update is not a good look days after its release - especially if it is leaving devices unusable.
Fortunately, Apple claims only a small number are affected.
Now the update has been pulled, it will prevent anyone else from suffering the same fate while experts work out what's wrong.
If you have already updated and found your iPad is no longer working, the best thing to do is speak to Apple.
Others have stated that they received a replacement from the company so you may be entitled too if you're within the warranty period.
