EVERY month games come and go from the PS Plus library, with newer games coming to replace the older ones.

In August, 18 games were added to PS Plus: three to PS Plus Essential, 10 to PS Plus Extra, and five to PS Plus Premium.

Following the arrival of these games, 12 games will be leaving PS Plus on September 17, giving subscribers about a month to play them before they’re gone.

While games leave the service every month, there are a number of popular games that will be removed in September.

The most disappointing loss from the service is Horizon Forbidden West, a PlayStation console exclusive.

Horizon is one of the biggest PlayStation exclusive series thanks to its gorgeous open world.

More in PlayStation

While this is the most notable game on the list, there are a number of other highly-rated games that will be leaving next month.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is the highly-rated strategy game featuring Marvel heroes as units.

It was created by many of the developers who worked on XCOM, and has an 83 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic.

Alien Isolation is another 83-rated game that is leaving next month, and is considered one of the best survival horror games.

Unlike other horror games that bombard you with enemies, Alien Isolation creates a tense atmosphere as just one Alien stalks you around the ship.

Nier Replicant is the remake of the prequel to the critically acclaimed Nier: Automata, which also has an 83 rating.

The final game that we want to highlight as leaving this month is Spiritfarer, a heart-felt indie game with an 84 rating.

There are too many games to complete before they are removed from PS Plus, so subscribers will have to prioritise the titles they want to finish and start with those leaving the service soon.

Indie games are usually shorter but Spiritfarer is estimated to take 20-30 hours to complete.

Players will also need at least 20 hours to finish games like Nier Replicant and Alien Isolation, while Horizon Forbidden West takes about 30 hours.

Here is the full list of games that will be leaving PS Plus on September 17, 2024:

  • Horizon Forbidden West
  • Marvel’s Midnight Suns
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Alien Isolation
  • Cloudpunk
  • Nier Replicant
  • Spiritfarer
  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force
  • Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness
  • Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
  • Star Ocean: First Departure R
