iPhone 16 rumoured to pack new button & screen size upgrade – but fans are going wild over details about another model
RUMOURS around the iPhone 16 continue to come in thick and fast ahead of the handset's highly anticipated launch next month.
But amid all the online chatter, Apple fans are already talking about next year's iPhone models which may include a brand new budget version.
We've already heard whispers of five colours, which are said to be white, black, blue, green and pink.
And there's been talk of a bigger battery to appease those who worry about their iPhone's juice too.
The only certain thing for now is that Apple Intelligence, the firm's new AI tool built with ChatGPT infused into it, will be launching on the iPhone 16 at some point.
But a new report by Bloomberg's Apple expert Mark Gurman points towards some more possible iPhone 16 upgrades coming our way.

And it looks like a new button might be on the horizon.
It's claimed that there might be a new camera control button on the right edge of the iPhone.
As for colours, Gurman says that the titanium blue shade may be dropped, while there could be a new rose gold option.
Elsewhere, he claims that the screen sizes are expected to increase.
However, it's not clear whether the boost will come to all models or just the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max versions.
Apple traditionally holds its iPhone launch events each year in September, so we may not have long to wait for confirmation.
IPHONE SE?
Among all the noise about iPhone 16, Apple fans are also looking further ahead to 2025 after claims that Apple is working on a new iPhone SE.
iPhone SE is the company's cheaper line of smartphones which cuts back on some of the powerful features, like processors and cameras.
The last time we saw an iPhone SE launched was in 2022, which was the first generation.
It launched starting at £419 / $429, considerably less than the main iPhones.
Gurman claims that a new iPhone SE could land early 2025 - and it may also come with Apple Intelligence capabilities.
And it might have a "crisper" OLED display too.
iPhone tricks to try today
Here are some of the best...
- Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
- Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
- Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
- Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen (or swipe left to right on an iPhone X or later model), then tap in the bar and type a currency (like $200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
- Check if you're due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you're down to 80% capacity. If you're below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
- Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier
