This includes the addition of several Warner Bros. Discovery-branded channels - just days after a dozen others became available.

Users can download the Plex TV app from the Roku Channel Store or search for it on their Fire TV to locate the app and begin setup.

Among the new arrivals is a channel dedicated to Designated Survivor, streaming 24/7 episodes of the popular American drama.

Another channel dedicated to Mr. Bean, offering round-the-clock access to the iconic British sitcom.

Other offerings include Planeta Selva, Spanish-language science and tech programming, and on-demand sports content from Bleacher Report.

There is even an addition in the realm of live news with CNN Originals.

As for Warner Bros.-branded content, the streamer has landed a handful of channels dedicated to the film studio's most popular series.

This includes WB Myth Busters, WB Nip/Tuck, WB No Reservations, WB Say Yes to the Dress, and WB Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.

There are also channels dedicated to specific types of content, like WB Hit Sitcoms, WB Horror Stories, WB Unique Lives, WB Primetime Soaps, and WB Paws and Claws.

The new channels are barely a drop in the bucket for Plex, which currently boasts more than 50,000 on-demand titles.

Plex has grown into one of the largest free, ad-supported streaming services on the market, rivaling giants like Roku and Tubi.

It is best known as a media server that stores digital content and makes it available over a network.

Many users continue to rely on the Plex server to stream their own content rather than paying for Netflix or Hulu subscriptions.

However, Plex has been steadily building a roster of free, ad-supported content to lure in viewers.

The library includes over 1,100 live channels in addition to thousands of on-demand movies and shows.

Earlier this year, a representative confirmed Plex had raised $40 million in capital.

While it failed to eclipse the company's $50 million growth round in 2021, the funds are nevertheless expected to nudge the company toward profitability.

Plex also seeks to rake in profits by offering paid subscription options.

While the software is free, the paid-for Plex Pass unlocks additional features and access to the company's suite of Android and iOS apps.

The subscription is available at three different price points, with the lowest costing $4.99 per month.

An annual subscription is $39.99 per year, while a lifetime subscription will set viewers back $119.99 in a one-time payment.

What is Roku?

The company is best known as a popular provider of free, ad-supported streaming television - or SMART TV for short.

Roku, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Anthony Wood, an English-born businessman who relocated to the United States as a teenager.

Wood wanted to help TV fans watch what they wanted when they wanted and came up with the idea of a TV operating system with access to online content.

Roku released its first product in 2008 - a streaming box called the Roku DVP, which sold 10 million units in just six days.

The company's hardware is compatible with any TV that has an HDMI connection. This means virtually anyone can access the streamer's growing body of content.

Each player comes with a Roku remote to navigate on-screen menus and control playback.

The company also licenses its operating system to television manufacturers like Toshiba and Hisense to create Roku-branded TVs.\

The streamer has steadily been expanding its portfolio on The Roku Channel.

It boasts free content from over 250 partners, including live news from networks like NBC, Fox, and CBS.

The ever-growing library boasts over 350 live TV channels and 80,000 free movies and shows.
