EA FC 25 reveals brand-new feature that players have demanded for decades
EA Sports FC (previously known as FIFA) has been around for decades, and each year there is a new entry for fans to play.
The series is best known for adding small improvements to each game, and players don’t often notice just how much has changed until they return to an older title.
However, one of the upcoming improvements for EA FC 25 has captured players’ attention, as it’s a feature that they’ve been demanding for years.
The upcoming addition to the long-running series will introduce a new feature called FC IQ.
This will give players more control over their footballers, allowing them to micromanage exactly how each person plays.
We spoke about exactly how this will work in our EA FC 25 preview, but in short, it will offer over 50 play styles for each player.

For example, a CAM can also be a playmaker, a shadow striker or a half-winger, while a right or left back can be a fullback, falseback, wingback or attacking wingback.
Adding another layer, these roles can then have a focus, such as a roaming or attacking playmaker.
While people focused on many of the positions, there was one pivotal role that has been mostly overlooked.
Goalkeepers will also receive a variety of playstyles that will help players negate some of the most annoying parts of playing EA FC.

In EA FC, the goalkeeper often saves by knocking the ball not too far away from the goal. This allows the other team to tap it back into the goal for an easy point.
These are some of the most frustrating goals in EA FC, as they feel as if they should be easy to defend against.
One of the new goalkeeper playstyles is called Deflector, and the gameplay comparison between a goalie without a play style shows a stark difference.
The Deflector hits the ball far away from the goal when making a save preventing strikers from dribbling the ball into the net.
This has long been one of EA FC players’ most requested changes and fans are glad that they’ll finally have better control over their saves.
The FC IQ system is completely new, and many players might not engage with it when the game first launches.
However, from the footage we’ve seen, you’ll need to find the right playstyle for each player if you want to make the most out of them.
