The service is offering a special Olympic package for £3.99 that will let fans sign up just for the time the games are on.

Sky, which offers a standard Discovery+ subscription for free with most packages, said it is expecting a spike in customers activating Discovery+ accounts in the lead up to the Olympics.

The international sports event, which occurs every four years, will begin on 26 July, 2024, and finish on 11 August, 2024.

However, some Discovery+ Olympic package subscribers are having "some difficulties" activating their services, according to Sky.

Still can't activate your subscription?

If you're still having no luck activating your Discovery+ subscription, try these steps:

First, make sure the email you are entering is the same email used to sign up.

If this works, go to Account and check if this says  Discovery+ via Sky - this means your account is linked to your Sky TV.

If you still can't log in, Sky said you will need to contact Discovery+ to find out which email was used to sign up, and follow the activation steps with that email.
