Tubi is available for download on the Amazon Appstore and compatible with Fire TV devices including game controllers and voice remotes.

Roku users can unlock thousands of additional shows and films by adding the Tubi channel to their account.

Tubi is also adding a slew of on-demand programs this month.

Sneaker Hustle takes viewers through the history and generational impact of sneaker culture.

The streamer is also adding fictional series like Camp, a slice-of-life drama about a group of teenagers navigating their final year of sleep-away camp.

Other titles include Sinister Surgeon, about a doctor who realizes her boss is murdering patients; Hustlers Take All, about an underground casino run by women; and Twin Lines, about a barista who takes her twin sister's place for an escorting gig, sparking a chain of violent events.

Tubi Lands in the UK: Free Streaming with 20,000+ Titles

Tubi bills itself as a "one-stop shop" for movies, shows, and live TV, with thousands of titles to boot.

Among the streamer's 250,000-plus titles are movies from MGM, Lionsgate, and Paramount.

The service reached a new peak of 1 million viewers in May, according to data - up 46% from a year prior.

Nielsen touted June as a record-setting month for streaming platforms, accounting for a new high of 40.3% of all TV usage.

The company cited double-digit leaps month to month for several platforms including Tubi, which accounted for 14.7% of that viewership.

Fox Corp. acquired Tubi for $440 million in 2020, with Massoudi staying on as CEO until last year.

He was succeeded by Paul Cheesbrough, Fox's former CTO and president of digital, who oversaw the acquisition process.

Tubi has posed a challenge to platforms like Netflix and Prime Video, which have begun showing ads despite their paid subscription models.

Like The Roku Channel, it falls into the category of FAST TV - short for "free, ad-supported streaming television," with ad breaks every 12 to 15 minutes that pay for the content.

What is Roku?

The company is best known as a popular provider of free, ad-supported streaming television - or SMART TV for short.

Roku, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Anthony Wood, an English-born businessman who relocated to the United States as a teenager.

Wood wanted to help TV fans watch what they wanted when they wanted and came up with the idea of a TV operating system with access to online content.

Roku released its first product in 2008 - a streaming box called the Roku DVP, which sold 10 million units in just six days.

The company's hardware is compatible with any TV that has an HDMI connection. This means virtually anyone can access the streamer's growing body of content.

Each player comes with a Roku remote to navigate on-screen menus and control playback.

The company also licenses its operating system to television manufacturers like Toshiba and Hisense to create Roku-branded TVs.\

The streamer has steadily been expanding its portfolio on The Roku Channel.

It boasts free content from over 250 partners, including live news from networks like NBC, Fox, and CBS.

The ever-growing library boasts over 350 live TV channels and 80,000 free movies and shows.
