Fallout shows that video games stories are incredible and it has the Emmys to prove it
FALLOUT’S TV series was a huge success with viewers and introduced a whole new group of people to the video games the show is based on.
It’s now gone on to prove its worth with critics, as the show has received a massive 17 Emmy nominations.
These include Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Walton Goggins.
Following the nominations, Amazon executives Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders spoke to about their plans for Fallout and future video game adaptations.
Sanders gave some hints towards the next season of the show saying: “I think we’re ahead of schedule, in terms of being able to get Season 2 back.
“We don’t have an exact launch date yet, but we’ve already gotten scripts in hand, and I think the fans of Season 1 will really love where we’re going for Season 2.”

Sanders also claims that Amazon is still looking at other video games to adapt for the screen, but that they are being selective about which games they want to work on.
He says: “I think it has to be the right mix of a piece that feels like it’s special and unique in the landscape, a real partnership with the IP creators, who get how to translate this, and a visionary voice, both visionary writers and creators.
“Fortunately for us, we feel like we’ve found a few things in this area that really warrant it.
“So we’ve already announced Tomb Raider, which we’re incredibly excited about.

“And there are some other things definitely percolating. I think sooner rather than later, you might hear about some new things, but we’re always going to be careful and judicious.”
Salke also claims that fans of God of War should “stay tuned” for more information on the series, saying that Amazon “loves” the IP.
It’s not all rainbows and sunshine for gaming TV shows though, as Paramount has announced that the Halo TV show will not be returning for another season.
