BILLIONS of Google users are set to receive a new tool in their browser that will tell them exactly what the Dark Web knows about them.
The Dark Web, the mysterious underbelly of the internet, is a haven all types of criminals, especially cyber crooks and hackers.
When a business or personal accounts get hacked, sensitive data like your name, email address, phone number home address, and password are leaked.
Once leaked, this information nearly always ends up on the Dark Web.
Cyber crooks typically target businesses for wider-scale hacks so they can compromise private data and sell emails, phone numbers, and passwords to other criminals.

What's understood to be the largest-ever password leak occurred earlier this week, when hackers accumulated a colossal database containing almost 10billion leaked passwords, according to experts.
The criminals supposedly behind the hack claimed to have a treasure trove of stolen details.
And security researchers have warned the massive leak poses "severe dangers to users prone to reusing passwords".
Sometimes people don't know their details have been exposed to hackers until it's too late.

Fortunately, Google is currently rolling out a tool called the Dark Web Report that aims to gather all this information in one place.
It will scan the Dark Web for information of yours that might have ended up there.
This includes your name, address, phone number and email accounts.
It's important to remember that if your email account has been leaked, your password might also be compromised.
You should change the password to all compromised accounts - and any other accounts you may use that same password for.
