AMAZON has introduced a new Fire TV accessory to the UK - and it's not a stick or streaming device.

Instead, the gadget will take your Amazon Fire experience to the next level.

If you have a Fire Stick plugged into your telly and found yourself thinking the sound could do with an upgrade, this might be the answer.

The online retail giant has brought the Fire TV Soundbar to the UK for the first time.

As you might expect with Amazon's budget devices, it's also quite a bit cheaper than big brands like Sonos.

And there's a 17 per cent discount at the moment as part of an introductory offer.

Although the soundbar can work with most TV sets, the Fire TV Soundbar has been designed and tested to work seamlessly with Fire TV, for control of your TV and audio with one remote.

The 60cm long product packs a dual speaker setup and Dolby Audio.

Amazon's Fire TV Soundbar has actually been around in the US for a while but it's now available in the UK and Germany.

Across the pond, it has a 4.2 out of 5 star rating from customers, based on more than 2,200 reviews.

"This soundbar is clean looking and packs a punch," one buyer said.

"I have it right in front of my TV, which blocks the tv sensor a little bit, but I’m still able to use my Fire-stick remote that I already had."

Another wrote: "Having purchased the Amazon sound bar recently, I'm thoroughly impressed.

"Its sleek design seamlessly blends with my entertainment setup, and the sound quality is exceptional.

"Dialogue is clear, and the bass adds depth to movie nights."

The Fire TV Soundbar goes on sale from July 29.

It's currently £99.99 but after 9am on July 29 it'll cost £119.99.

“Customers in the US love Fire TV Soundbar and we are delighted to bring the same great product to customers in the UK and Germany,” said Emma Gilmartin, Director of Fire TV and Fire Tablets Europe.

“Fire TV Soundbar is sleek, affordable and easy to set up, delivering room-filling sound to elevate the home cinema experience.”
