Ubisoft founder confirms that more Assassin’s Creed games are on the way
PLAYERS loved Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and are eagerly awaiting the next entry in the popular series.
A first look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows got fans excited about the choice between stealth and combat-based gameplay that the next title will offer.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer until Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches later this year, but there could be more Assassin’s Creed news on the way.
As posted in an interview on the website, co-founder Yves Guillemot confirmed that Assassin’s Creed remakes are in development.
Guillemot didn’t specify which remakes the team is working on, but simply says that “some” are in the works.
He says: “Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernise them.
More in Assassin's Creed
“There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich.”
Last year, there was a rumour that the most popular game in the series, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, would be remade.
As Guillemot suggests there will be more than one game, players suspect that Ezio’s games, particularly the popular Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, could also see a new game.
Guillemot also went on to explain about other new upcoming games in the series.

He said: “There will be plenty of experience variety.
“The goal is to have Assassin's Creed games come out more regularly, but not for it to be the same experience every year.
“There are a lot of good things to come, including Assassin's Creed Hexe, which we've announced, which is going to be a very different game from Assassin's Creed Shadows.
“We're going to surprise people, I think.”
Little is known about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, but it is believed to be set around the Salem witch trials.
