Pokémon fans are struggling to take down Sceptile raids but there’s an easy counter
POKÉMON has just started seven-star Tera raids in Scarlet and Violet, but players are struggling to take it down.
This is due to a glitch in Pokémon SV raids with stat boosting moves, where the raid target can be boosted every turn alongside using another move.
The raid is available over two weekends, and you can catch it either from Friday, June 28, 2024, until Sunday, June 30, 2024, or from Friday, July 5, 2024, until Sunday, July 7, 2024.
Sceptile has the move Dragon Dance, so both its attack and speed are boosted every turn, and it quickly maxes out its attacks.
This is why it’s so difficult to take down, as it can take down most people’s Pokémon in one hit.
This is Sceptile’s stats, ability, nature, and move set:
More in Pokémon
The Mightiest Sceptile – Level 100
- Nature – Hasty
- Ability – Unburden
- Item – None
- Tera type – Dragon
- Move set – Leaf Storm, Earthquake, Leaf Blade, Breaking Swipe, Thunder Punch, Dragon Dance
However, there is a counter that works very well against Sceptile thanks to its ability.
Skeledirge has the ability Unaware, which means that it ignores all of Sceptile’s stat boosts.
You can also use Will-O-Wisp to inflict a Burn, and half Sceptile’s attack. This is the only way to drop Sceptile’s attack against Skeledirge.
After Sceptile wipes Skeledirge’s stat boosts, you can boost your special attack with Torch Song as Breaking Swipe only lowers physical attack.
Alluring Voice not only deals super effective damage, but will confuse Sceptile if it uses Dragon Dance that turn.
Here is the Skeledirge set that we recommend:
Skeledirge – Level 100
- Nature – Bold
- Ability – Unaware
- Item – Shell Bell
- Tera type – Fairy
- Move set – Torch Song, Will-O-Wisp, Alluring Voice, Slack Off
