PlayStation fans can play the most popular multiplayer games for free – don’t miss out
PLAYSTATION fans and those on other consoles are often required to have an active subscription in order to play most multiplayer games.
PS4 and PS5 owners will soon be able to join the fray with friends without paying extra, and here’s when and how you can grab this special deal.
Sony is holding a free PS Plus online multiplayer weekend, where all games that require the subscription to play online will be accessible to players who don’t have one.
This weekend, June 22-23, 2024, all PlayStation console owners will be able to join multiplayer modes for free. provided that they own the games.
Unfortunately, the free multiplayer weekend doesn’t allow you to try games you haven’t purchased yet.
If you own a game with multiplayer mode, though, you can try that one out at no additional cost.

Some mostly single-player PlayStation exclusives, such as Ghost of Tsushima, Returnal, and Gran Turismo 7, also have multiplayer modes.
The free weekend is a chance to try if multiplayer is for you and consider PlayStation Plus, which comes with many other perks aside from multiplayer access.
Recently, Sony has added quite a few free games to the subscription service's three tiers.
This month, PS Plus Essential members can claim SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever and Streets of Rage 4.

PlayStation Extra and Premium members can play 14 new games via PS Plus, which were added to the service on June 16.
Premium subscribers also got three new PS2 games on PS4 and PS5 for the first time in a while.
A few PS VR2 titles are now available through Premium's library.
