Plex is a popular streaming app available to download for free on Fire TV devices.

And there's no cost to watch any of the content on the app either.

The only catch is that you'll need to sit through commercials, but that's a small price to pay for totally free TV.

In April, Plex revealed that it was offering exactly 1,112 channels globally.

And if you're a viewer in the United States, you'd have access to as many as 847 of them.

Now the service is getting even bigger, with Plex announcing six new channels joining the roster this week.

Here's the list of new channels:

  • The Conners
  • StarTalk TV
  • Rachael Ray's Italin Dream House
  • KweliTV
  • Great Comedy!
  • FIFA Plus

FREE AND EASY!

But Plex doesn't only offer free live channels.

Amazon Fire TV Stick owners receive huge AI upgrade that makes searching for movies way easier and more conversational

You'll also gain access to an extensive roster of on-demand content.

In fact, Plex says that it serves up more than 50,000 "free titles, movies, and TV shows" that you can watch whenever you like.

Plex actually began life as a different kind of app entirely.

Its original purpose was letting you share your saved media (like home movies) to a big screen of your choice – almost like a personal Netflix.

But at the tail-end of 2019, Plex launched a free streaming service powered by ads.

FIRE FREEBIES

Plex isn't the only game in town when it comes to free content, however.

For a start, Amazon offers its own Freevee service on your Fire TV that delivers no-cost, ad-supported content.
