Call of Duty fans are only just realising they can play the latest game completely free
A deal on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the latest entry in gaming’s biggest shooter franchise, is letting fans play the game for free.
Players can jump into the fray right away, as the offer has already started on consoles and PC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Season 4 just launched a couple of days ago, and to celebrate, publisher Activision is letting everyone play the game during a Free Access period.
The offer is available on all platforms, but only includes Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer modes.
Fans who want to play the game’s single-player campaign will still have to purchase the title from their platform’s respective store.
The Free Access weekend is available via Steam and Battle.net on PC, as well as the PlayStation Store on PS4 and PS5, and the Xbox Store on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

To grab the deal, you need to head to your preferred digital store and download the game for free.
The Free Trial includes over 8 multiplayer maps, 5 multiplayer modes, and access to the Modern Warfare Zombies mode.
The latest Call of Duty game did not review well when it launched back in November 2023, and is now sitting on a lowly 56 rating on Metacritic, with an abysmal 2.1 user score.
