MILLIONS of Samsung owners have received a free phone upgrade with a brand new button to boost their photos.
Samsung's One UI 6.1 model will welcome a new magnetic lasso function for its Object Eraser tool to make editing much easier for users.
The Galaxy S24 showcased a substantial AI portfolio for creating some cool photos but things are about to be taken up a notch for the One UI 6.1.
Those familiar with traditional AI-vacant photo editing will know that the current lasso tool allows you to circle an object and copy or cut it to move or delete the selection.
But the new magnetic lasso tool allows users to do something slightly different.
Those with the One UI 6.1 can now select the magnetic lasso selector using the Object Eraser tool in Samsung Gallery, report.

But rather than simply allowing you to draw a circle around objects in a picture, the magnetic lasso automatically outlining an object that it detects.
This means users can now differentiate between the lasso tool and the magnetic lasso tool depending on their needs.
Turning the magnetic lasso off, however, will allow you to draw circles in Generative Edit without those circles changing shape and snapping automatically.
To access the magnetic lasso tool, all you need to do is tap the “Magnetic Lasso” button at the top of Samsung Gallery’s Object Eraser function page.

Selecting it will change how your selection will behave when you lift your finger from the screen.
The new function will definitely be a useful addition, especially for those keen on making photo edits.
Regardless, it will make it even easier for Samsung users to pick up a Galaxy phone and make edits the way you want to.
It comes after Samsung users noticed a much-missed feature returned to their phones earlier this week.
