But the opportunity to redeem the offer closes at the end of the day on Sunday (March 31).

Sky Stream does away with the traditional satellite dish making it an ideal alternative for those renting and not allowed one of the side of their property - or people who simply don't like the look of them.

Instead, the service relies entirely on Wi-Fi.

And as well as Sky's suite of channels, the platform has access to major streaming apps as well.

Most of these you have to pay extra for but Netflix is included at no extra cost.

Sky's trial lasts one month - and you can cancel after if you don't wish to continue.

The trial provides you with the Sky Entertainment package which includes more than 150 channels, as well as Netflix standard with ads.

The Sun reviewed Sky Stream when it launched in 2022 which you can read here.

Sky Stream came about after the arrival of Sky Glass.

Sky Glass was the UK's first internet-based TV launched in 2021

The pair are pretty similar in that they rely on internet instead of satellite, except Sky Glass packs it all into a dedicated TV and Sky Stream comes in the form of a tiny plug-in box for your existing TV.

Sky Stream normally costs from £26 per month to subscribe.

The trial lasts for a month, so you could cancel and return the box after the period ends.

Sky Stream vs Sky Q - How do they compare?

The most obvious difference between Sky Stream and Sky Q is how they're delivered.

Sky Q uses the traditional satellite dish for live TV and broadband for on demand shows.

Whereas Sky Stream relies entirely on the internet to do both live TV and on demand.

The interfaces look pretty much identical.

Sky Q tends to have more channels, mostly because Sky Stream does away with standard definition channels (where there's a HD one available) and +1 channels.

One major difference is recording.

On Sky Q you can record anything you like directly onto your box that will stay there forever.

On Sky Stream you can't technically record - you can add a show to your playlist and a recording is kept in the cloud, so you always need to be online to watch it.

They will also expire after a certain amount of time too.

Or continue subscribing if you enjoy the experience, with either a £26 per month 18 month contract or £29 per month for a rolling contract.

Be warned, Sky recently announced price hikes, as such both subscriptions will increase by £2 a month from next week.

All prices in this article were correct at the time of writing, but may have since changed.

Always do your own research before making any purchase.
