Xbox confirms that exclusive games will be launching on other consoles – and fans are furious
FOR the past month Xbox players have been speculating about the future of the company after a series of rumours.
Insider sources were claiming that a number of Xbox-exclusive games will be coming to other platforms like Nintendo Switch and PS5.
In the recent official Xbox Podcast, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed that these rumours are true.
Spencer said: “We’ve made the decision that we’re going to take four games to the other consoles.”
The four games were not revealed during the podcast, but there are a number of sources claiming to know the specifics.
Rhythm action platformer Hi-Fi Rush, and choices matter adventure Pentiment will reportedly be the first two games to come to rival platforms.

Later, action adventure game Sea of Thieves, and survival crafting game Grounded are expected to follow suit.
Xbox has stated many times that the company’s aim is to deliver more games to more people, and it appears that it is fulfilling that promise.
Spencer said: “I do have a fundamental belief that over the next five or ten years exclusive games, games that are exclusive to one piece of hardware, are going to be a smaller and smaller part of the game industry.”
Speaking to , Spencer continued to speak about the importance of sharing games on other platforms.

While the biggest Xbox-exclusive games like Starfield and the upcoming Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will remain exclusive for the time being, that may not always be the case.
He said: “I don’t think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform.
“We’re focused on these four games and learning from the experience. We don’t have work going on, on other franchises.
“But for anybody to stand up and say something’s never going to happen, I think it feels like creating more certainty in a world of gaming where you really want to respond to what customers want and what our players and creators are looking for.”
Fans believed that the lack of exclusives on Xbox, meant that the company would soon stop creating more consoles.
Xbox has since denied this, and claims that they will share more about Xbox’s next-gen consoles late this year.
