The owner posted to Reddit revealing how they use Siri to find their lost cell.

"Ever lose track of where your phone is on the couch or in bed at night?" they wrote.

"Instead of fumbling around with my hands, I say, 'Siri where are you?' and it’ll respond, 'Here.' Silly pro tip but I use it all the time."

Apple fans loved the trick, with one noting, "Made me smile, I'll keep it in mind haha."

But one sage user issued a warning:

"Be careful though, this can cause marital strife if your spouse is still asleep next to you at 3 am when you do this."

There is something you'll need to do on your iPhone first before this trick can work.

It depends on a certain setting being active. Otherwise, you'll say the phrase and nothing will happen.

So you need to set your iPhone up correctly in advance, allowing this feature to work when you need it.

Go to Settings > Siri & Search and make sure that Allow Siri When Locked is switched on.

You also need to ensure that "Hey Siri" is switched on too.

LIGHT IT UP

Another trick you can try is to turn the flashlight on using Siri.

Just say "Hey Siri, turn the flashlight on."

This can help you quickly find the iPhone in the dark.

If you're a Harry Potter fan then you can achieve the same effect by saying, "Hey Siri, Lumos."

This will also activate the flashlight, which can be shut off again by casting another Potter spell: "Hey Siri, Nox."
