EA FC 24 gets ‘Messi’ as glitch gives best card away – but you can no longer grab it
EA SPORTS FC 24’s most popular mode has always been Ultimate Team, even while it was still under the name FIFA.
The competitive online mode is not only based on skill, but also based on the players you pull for your team.
Players can open EA FC 24 Ultimate Team packs, and inside they will find a random assortment of cards that they can add to their teams.
The higher the rating of the card the better the player, with the best players like Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappé getting ratings in the high 90s.
These cards can sell for millions of coins on the in-game transfer market, making them unobtainable for most players.
However, the hope for many is that they win them simply by opening UT packs, but the chance of this happening is very low.

This is why fans rushed at the chance to play one of the latest Squad Building Challenge, which came with a hugely increased chance of grabbing the GOAT.
The latest challenge would reward players with a Team of the Year promo card with a minimum rating of 86+.
While the higher-rated cards are supposedly rarer than the lower-rated ones, a huge number of players reported pulling the 97+ rated Lionel Messi card.
EA Sports quickly noticed the error and disabled the Squad Building Challenge, angering players.

This move not only angered the players who were late to the challenge and wanted a good chance to pull the rare Messi card.
It also angered players who had worked hard to earn enough coins to purchase the expensive card.
EA Sports wrote: “We have identified an issue with the 86+ TOTY Leagues SBC, as a result we have disabled the SBC.”
Players are still hoping that EA Sports will give players compensation for the error, but it’s too late to recall the rare Messis.
