SHOPPERS say they've switched from Fitbit to a little-known cheaper alternative.
Google-owned Fitbit is one of the leading fitness smartwatch brands aside from the more expensive Apple Watch.
But for those who simply want to track steps, sleep and exercises there are some options around.
Chinese firm Xiaomi is known for making budget smartphones like the recent Redmi Note 13.
But not everyone realises the company also makes smartwatches and fitness bands that won't break the bank.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is one such example, which only costs £35 on Amazon at the moment.

It's received a 4.5 out of 5 star rating based on more than 2,800 reviews.
One buyer described it as the "hands down winner" against Fitbit.
"It's very slightly bulkier, but the screen, response speed, wrist turn time, superior mobile app, and customizable watch faces that allow you to show more than A SINGLE STAT on the watch, makes it no contest," the shopper wrote.
"I now have some nice looking watch faces that show me everything I want at a glance.
"Really happy with this, always nice finding that the cheaper product is also the better one."
Xiaomi claims that the watch's battery can last up to 16 days under "normal daily use" and that it takes about one hour to charge fully.
Aside from the usual tracking features, it also has a stress level monitor and female health management.
However, not everyone is convinced.
