LG TV users receive free upgrade that boosts their telly and makes it even easier to find favourite shows
LG TV owners are set to receive a major upgrade to their sets this year that'll make them "feel brand new".
The South Korean tech giant has been rolling out a fresh look across many of its more recent TVs.
But now older LG TVs will be given the update too.
It comes just a couple of months after the company revamped its free channel offering.
LG says the move will effectively evolve people's smart TVs into "the ultimate home entertainment hub".
Among the improvements is even more personalised content directly on the home screen.

It's customisable too, so you can choose the services you want to appear front and centre.
The upgrade is coming to the following models:
- Every model in the LG 2022 OLED TV lineup
- LG OLED Flex
- LG OLED Objet Collection Posé
- LG’s 2022 QNED Mini LED 8K (QNED99/95 series)
LG says the update will land on eligible TVs in "early 2024" - so any point from now.

The company also said the upgrade will be extended to "more LG TVs worldwide in the future".
It comes as LG just unveiled the world's first wireless transparent OLED TV at CES, a huge tech show that takes place every year in Las Vegas.
The LG Signature OLED T creates a hologram-like effect so what you're watching stands out.
"Demonstrated by the constant improvement to the webOS platform’s UX and UI, LG is firmly dedicated to elevating convenience and security, ensuring that users benefit from a hassle-free and secure experience when using our products," said Baik Seon-pill, leader of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division.
"We strive to provide life-enriching experiences for our customers by delivering a wide range of content and services on our TVs."
