Fire Stick owners can get notifications from other apps while they're scrolling or watching content.

This feature can be useful if you need reminders about your favorite content from certain apps.

If you don't find it helpful, you can easily turn the feature off.

All you have to do is head to your Settings app on the TV.

This is usually represented by a gear icon.

Click on Settings and then find the Preferences option.

Select Preferences and then click on Notification Settings.

Selecting Do Not Interrupt will turn off notifications from all apps.

You can also choose to receive pop-ups from some apps and not others.

If you miss the notifications they're easy to turn back on.
