If this applies to you, it could be worth turning off a feature called Autoplay.

This is the setting that allows trailers to play on the home screen.

You should notice them play when you hover over a movie or show with your remote.

It's useful if you want to watch trailers before picking something to watch but it also uses up data and bandwidth.

Some users also find the feature annoying as viewers can end up starting and stopping multiple trailers as they scroll.

If you're on a limited data plan at home you might want to turn this off.

People hot-spotting their phones to use their may also want to switch off Autoplay if they want to avoid a hefty data bill.

To turn it off, head to the Settings menu that's represented by a gear icon on your TV.

Then, click on Preferences and tab Featured Content.

Here you can switch off Allow Video Autoplay.

You can also turn off Allow Audio Autoplay if you want the videos to keep running with no sound.

It's easy to turn the features back on should you miss the trailers.

Just follow the same steps as above and toggle the features back on.

Streaming services like Netflix also have a similar trailer feature that can be turned off.
