WHATSAPP boss Will Cathcart has denied claims of a major change that everyone has feared for years.
The tech mogul, who is head of the messaging app at Meta, slammed reports that ads could feature in chats.
Cathcart called out an article that stated Meta could be introducing advertisements on WhatsApp to boost revenue.

"We aren't doing this.

The claims, which sparked fear among WhatsApp users, had been featured in a Financial Times article.
A spokesperson from WhatsApp previously told : "We can’t account for every conversation someone had in our company but we are not testing this, working on it and it’s not our plan at all."
There were also suggestions the messaging app could start charging users a subscription fee to use a version without ads.
If adverts were to feature on the app, the report - which was blasted by Cathcart - claimed the interface would look similar to that of Facebook Messenger.
