Millions of Android owners receive free phone upgrade with more than 40 bonus features
MILLIONS of Android phone owners can give their devices a fresh lick of interior paint thanks to Google's latest update.
The tech giant has quietly rolled out dozens of new wallpapers for select device owners.
Maybe you've had the same wallpaper for a couple years, or perhaps you never made it out of the default skin.
Either way, it could be time to consider a new one, now that Google has rolled out over 40 new options to choose from.
The wallpapers fall into the existing Cityscapes, Textures, and Life categories.
The drop was quite unexpected, according to 9to5Google, which closely monitors the tech giant's movements and plans.

Each category has gained around 20 new backgrounds each.
The bright, airy images are reminiscent of summer.
They are all wide instead of square, too.
This means Android fans can use them across their devices, including tablets and desktops.

Only Google Pixel, Fold and Tablet owners are eligible for the new backgrounds.
Even Android owners with a dinky old Pixel 4a.
Any Google device running Android 13 and 14 can use them.
Unfortunately, they don’t show up in the Google Wallpapers app on non-Pixel devices.
