The advice is found under the general recommendations section of Intel's .

It states: "If you are using Wi-Fi, minimize the number of solid objects between the access point’s antenna and the device suffering from low speeds, using line-of-sight.

"Moving a device or antenna even an inch to one side could bypass multiple solid objects, making an enormous difference."

Just an inch might be all you need to get faster speeds.

It's best to move your router away from any obstruction and have it in an open space.

Don't be tempted to cover it for aesthetic reasons.

Having your router in a cabinet or box can slow your internet down.

It can also run the risk of your Wi-Fi router overheating.
