More than 10,000 users have reported that the popular social media app is down, per Downdetector.
Chat function down
One user shared on Downdetector that they were not able to access the chat function.
Another complained: "Bro againnnnn Why is reddit becoming so annoying."
Reports dropping
Reports of issues with Reddit are steadily decreasing as at this time there are less than 300 reports as more than 800 users reported problems earlier.
Over 800 users experiencing outages
Over 800 users are reportedly experiencing issues accessing Reddit.
The number rose at 1.30pm when outages seemed to have peaked.
App outages rising
Users reporting problems accessing the Reddit app are rising.
The percentage of users reporting issues is up to 77 percent.
There are some issues with the website and loading Reddit's feed, but most problems are concentrated on the mobile app.

Reddit users are taking to to vent about the issues they're experiencing.
One user wrote: "Why the hell is everything on Reddit is working except for the Chat function?"

Image viewing problems
One user shared via that they are having trouble viewing images in the Reddit app.
They wrote: "When I post an image it only shows the title and u have to click on the title to see the image....its not doing this for everyone"

More than 700 individuals have reported problems with Reddit, per Downdetector.
Issue seems to be resolved
As Reddit said, the issue causing the outage seems to have been resolved.
After over 30,000 users reported issues just before 5pm ET, only 760 users are having issues as of 6pm.
Reddit responds to reports
A Reddit spokesperson tells The U.S. Sun: "The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.
"Things should be resolved in the next few minutes."
