BBC iPlayer down updates — Hundreds report problems with streaming, website and mobile app during Wimbledon coverage
HUNDREDS of BBC iPlayer users are reporting issues today as the streaming service experiences reported outages.
As viewers tune in to watch this year's competition, many are unable to access the streaming service.

BBC iPlayer suffers blunder on day one of Wimbledon
Fans were left fuming on the first day of Wimbledon as BBC's coverage got off to an unimpressive start.
Novak Djokovic's opening three games of his match with Pedro Cachin missed on BBC One and BBC Two.
And there appeared to be no way to watch the start of the Serb's match on iPlayer either with fans reporting that the BBC service was down.
One tweeted: "Is Elon Musk running the iplayer Wimbledon coverage or..."
The same fan then wrote: "Thought I’d watch some tennis before my nights start but not a single stream working."
BBC iPlayer issue appears to be fixed
Wimbledon fans have claimed the issue has been fixed and reports on DownDetector are dropping.
Issues with the streaming service have dipped to just 300 after previously spiking at over 600.
One fan said: "BBC iPlayer's issues look to be resolved for the time being anyway... #Wimbledon."
A second said: "Started working for me now. Centre Court."
What issues are customers facing?
According to DownDetector, 49% of issues are with video streaming and 32& of issues are with the website.
It appears the issue is with tennis fans trying to stream the Centre Court action.
BBC viewers left furious
BBC iPlayer viewers have been left furious after being unable to watch Wimbledon.
One angry tennis fan said: "Not loading any courts at all."
Whilst a second said: "I think there’s a glitch. The main link that specifically mentions centre court doesn’t work."
What happens if I don't have a licence fee and log in to iPlayer?
Despite bringing in the changes, the BBC has admitted it cannot stop users dodging the licence fee if they use false details to access iPlayer online.

"It is also a criminal offence to possess or control a device which you know or reasonably believe will be used to watch live TV on any channel or BBC programmes on iPlayer without a TV Licence."
