Gamers excited for upcoming announcements – every video game showcase June 2023
E3 is usually where most game companies debut their biggest games, but not this year.
The convention has been cancelled, and in its place each company is holding its own smaller showcase.
There are still plenty of big-name games that will be announced this year, and many more that gamers are hoping to see.
Don’t miss a thing with this schedule of the biggest gaming showcases of June 2023.

Round-up and how to watch
PlayStation May 2023 Showcase
PlayStation had the first showcase of the season, showing off extensive gameplay for Spider-Man 2.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced, and release dates for Alan Wake 2 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage were also revealed.
The biggest announcement was that Sony is developing its own handheld streaming console, launching this year, called Project Q.

Meta Quest Gaming Showcase
The Meta Quest 3 was announced with a price tag of $499 (£499).
This was the biggest announcement of the showcase, and will be releasing in late 2023.
By comparison, Apple announced it's Vision Pro for an eye-watering $3.5k!
Guerilla Collective Showcase
More than 60 games from indie studios were shown off in the Guerilla Showcase,
Many of them are releasing this year including cute RPG Terra Memoria which is releasing 'soon'.
There were so many games announced that indie fans should watch the full showcase to find something they love.
Summer Game Fest
The largest summer showcase, Summer Game Fest will have World Premieres from more than 40 publishers.
There were a number of big announcements including a new Prince of Persia game, and a new 2D Sonic adventure.
Lies of P received a demo that's several hours long, and Spider-Man 2 finally got a release date.

Day of the Devs Digital Showcase
Fifteen upcoming indie games were announced from a variety of smaller studios, including Beastieball from the creators of Chicory.
We also saw a new game in the Hyper Light series, and Cart Life being brought back from it's early demise in 2014.
Devolver Digital Direct
Baby Steps a new game by Bennett Foddy and the studio behind Ape Out, is a literal walking simulator, where you try to navigate rough terrain.
A sequel to Human Fall Flat is also in the works, and we saw more gameplay from the Talos Principle 2.
Access-Ability Summer Showcase
Available to view with a number of accessibility options such as Audio descriptions and sign language options, the Access-Ability Showcase highlighted 15 games with accessibility options.
The highlight of this was Sniper Elite 5 with new accessibility options, and upcoming indies that put a focus on options for disabled gamers.
Wholesome Direct
The Wholesome Direct focused on a huge number of indie games with relaxing vibes.
This included a mobile port of Unpacking, and more information of upcoming games such as Mineko's Night Market, and Story of Seasons.
Future Games Show
Over 50 games were showcased here from indies to more big budget games.
Another game from the SteamWorld series was shown called SteamWorld Build.
There was also the announcement of a new VR game based on Wallace and Gromit called Wallace and Gromit: The Grand Getaway.
OTK Games Expo
Over three-hours showcasing over 30 games presented by YouTuber Asmongold.
We saw more on Escape Academy, and popular meme games such as Choo Choo Charles and Fashion Police Squad.
Xbox Games Showcase
Plenty was shown in this showcase including a first look at the Fable reboot staring Richard Ayoade.
We were also shown a new Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, from Ubisoft, and a new Xbox Series S was revealed.

Starfield Direct
Directly after the Xbox Games Showcase we received an hour-long deep dive into Starfield.
From the creators of Skyrim, Starfield will feature over a thousand planets and moons to explore.
We also got a look at the eye-wateringly expensive £300 collector's edition.

PC Gaming Show
Over 60 games were shown here, including extended gameplay from Baldur's Gate 3.
Dune: Awakening also got a deep dive, where we saw same scenes, and found out more about development.

Final Fantasy 16 Pre-Launch Celebration Live Stream
To celebrate the upcoming release of FF16, this live stream showed off more gameplay.
Most importantly the FF16 demo was revealed and is available now.
Ubisoft Forward
No new announcements were shown, but we saw a lot of gameplay from recently revealed titles.
The show opened with a look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora which finally got a release date.
More from Prince of Persia, Skull & Bones, and three upcoming Assassin's Creed games.
This included sign-up for an upcoming beta for Assassin's Creed: Codename Jade.
Capcom Showcase
Capcom showed more footage of Exoprimal, and released the demo for Ghost Trick.
We saw gameplay from the long-awaited Dragon's Dogma 2, and Apollo Justice trilogy was announced.
Dames-4-Games
Showcasing games made my women-led teams, it revealed games like Fishbowl, Wrestle Story, and CraftCraft.
Upload VR Showcase
Dubbed VR’s biggest showcase, The Upload VR Showcase will have updates about upcoming VR games for a variety of platforms.

RGG Summit Summer
The RGG Summit Summer 2023 will feature news and updates on the upcoming Like a Dragon/Yakuza games, including Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon 8.
