Sky adds brand new TV trick to prevent simple mistake that could increase your bills
IF you have a voice-activated device you know how annoying it can be when the device starts speaking back to you.
It happens to Alexa and Google Assistant all the time.
And as Sky Glass has its own voice-powered system the same can happen to your TV as well, coming up with things you didn't ask for.
So much so, Sky has decided to add a new feature.
It's small but significant - especially if you're worried about the TV turning on all by itself and wasting electricity.
From now on, if you accidentally turn on your Sky Glass by just saying “Hello Sky” without another voice command, it’ll automatically turn itself off.

Other commands for Sky Glass
When you are watching your TV, Sky Glass's "Hello Sky" feature is a particularly useful shortcut.
If you're a sucker for film quotes, this one is for you.
It turns out, Sky will cleverly start playing some of the most iconic blockbusters for you if simply by saying a specific quote.

For example, “Hasta la vista, baby" will trigger Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Say "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" and it'll start The Godfather II.
Have a go at "My precious" and The Lord Of The Rings: Two Towers will play.
