Clever TV trick transforms your retro telly into a smart one – and it costs less than £35

IF you want to watch all the great stuff streaming online but don't want to get rid of your old school TV there's a clever trick to smarten things up.

All you need is two pieces of kit - and they cost less than £35 for both.

First up, you need an adapter.

This will need to convert HDMI to whatever your TV takes.

It's very likely your TV is RCA.

RCA is the yellow, red and white wires.

Next, you'll need a smart TV streaming device to play out what you want.

Amazon's Fire TV Stick Lite with Alexa Voice Remote Lite is .

Connect the adapter to a power source and plug an HDMI cable from the Fire TV Stick to the adapter, and away you go.

Of course, you could try other smart devices too.

And you can even play things like your PlayStation or a Blu-ray player.
