Starfield was first announced in 2018, and gamers have been waiting a long time to play for themselves.

Does Starfield have a release date yet?
Yes. Xbox and developer Bethesda have finally given a definitive release date for Starfield.
The latest news is that it will be released on September 6, 2023.

Starfield was not shown at the January 2023 Xbox Developer Direct, and it was revealed that it would have its own showcase at a later date.

Why has Starfield's release been delayed?
The game was originally due for release on November 11, 2022.
It was then pushed back to the first half of 2023.

It's now been confirmed that Starfield will release in September 2023, and the showcase will be in June.
Xbox’s other big game of the year, Redfall, is scheduled to release on May 2, 2023.
This is the likely reason why Starfield was delayed from the first half of 2023, to prevent scheduling conflicts.
How much will Starfield cost?
Xbox revealed that it will be raising the price of its first-party games.
This means that both Starfield and Redfall will cost £70 ($70) on their release.
The new price is in line with the price of PlayStation first-party games, and is an increase of £10 ($10).
