Amazon launches ‘total game changer’ voice-activated kettle
TEA and coffee lovers can get a hand making a brew thanks to a “total game changer” — a voice-activated kettle.
Drinkers can ask the Alexa Swan Kettle to boil the water — or keep what’s in there warm for up to two hours.
Amazon teamed up with kitchen firm Swan to make the cordless gadget that links up to any Alexa device.
The £99.99 boiler has the capacity to be programmed to fit routines — like a mid-morning or afternoon work break.
And it can heat a baby’s bottle to a set temperature so new parents do not have to wait for it to cool down.
It is also able to recommend temperatures for drinks such as herbal teas.
The kettle even sends out alerts to the Alexa app when it is low on water or needs to be descaled.
A Swan spokesperson said: “At the heart of any kitchen, the iconic kettle can now be controlled by voice.
“Using any device, creating personalised commands and routines unique to the user.
“From the simple task of turning the kettle on, through to changing the temperature of the water.
