Warning for over a million Android phone owners – delete these apps right now
AN app on Android downloaded more than a million times has been using people to make money.
While the hackers haven't got away with your own funds, they have been wasting the time of victims with pesky ads.
The app in question is called TubeBox.
It's meant to reward people for watching videos and adverts.
But when you go to claim for your time it doesn't work.
Instead, it turns out the fraudsters operating the app are taking the profit.

The ruse was discovered by experts from Dr.Web.
Fortunately, it's now been removed from the Google Play Store.
TubeBox isn't the only app up to no good.
The cybersecurity firm also found others riddled with adware and malware.
They include Bluetooth device auto connect which had more than one million downloads.
Bluetooth & Wi-Fi & USB driver was on over 100,000 devices, while Volume, Music Equalizer was on 50,000.
Another called Fast Cleaner & Cooling Master lured a much smaller number of 500 or so.
A Google spokesperson told that all the apps in question have now been removed from its Google Play Store.

If you have any of them on your devices, best to delete them right away.
