Best Android app 2022 – Google reveals top pick for the year and it’s totally free
GOOGLE has revealed the best Android apps and games for 2022 – have you got them all?
The tech giant has published the winners of its annual Google Play Best of 2022 awards.
It's a great guide to working out which apps you should definitely be using.
The awards include top Android apps and games across a whole range of categories, so there's something for everyone.
"Every year we recognize the best apps and games on Google Play and the developers who bring them to life," Google explained.
"Their bold ideas and creativity help us reach people across all kinds of devices — from phones and watches to Chromebooks and tablets.

"And like every year, 2022’s winners reflect what matters most to people right now — ranging from games that help us escape reality and enter a whole new world, to apps that help us stay grounded and present."
The winner for Best App was Dream by WOMBO.
It's an app that creates beautiful artworks using AI.
You simply enter a prompt, choose a style of art and then sit back as the app creates a stunning and original piece.
"Type in whatever you want to create! -- “Alien Space Station”, “City Sunset”, “Rainbow Forest” or anything else you can imagine are just a few of the billions of potential paintings that could be made," Wombo Studios explains.

It's free to download and has already been installed by 10million users.
And the winner for Best Game was Apex Legends Mobile – also the winner for Apple's iPhone Game of the Year 2022.
The smash-hit battle royale shooter been a regular entry in the top 10 download lists throughout the year.
And it's a great mix of quality and replayability while being totally free to download.
Apex Legends Mobile also won the User's Choice award for best game, while the top User's Choice app was viral social media entry BeReal.
