New iPhone 14 price rises revealed – including ‘stealth increase’ on OLD model
BRITS are going to pay more than last year for the 2022 lot of iPhones.
But that's not all: Apple has also quietly hiked up the price of an older model.
It's not a huge surprise as prices have been steadily climbing across all sectors in the UK.
In any case, you'll pay more than last year for every new iPhone model on the market.
The prices are generally also slightly higher than US mark-ups, although American costings don't include taxes.
For the iPhone 14, you'll pay £849 versus the $799 US price tag.

And that's up on the £779 last year's iPhone 13 cost – a £70 rise.
There's also no Apple iPhone Mini in the new line-up.
So while last year's cheapest iPhone 13 (the Mini) started at £679, this year's cheapest iPhone 14 costs £849.
There's now a new iPhone 14 Plus model for £949 (versus the US $899), but this doesn't have a direct equivalent last year.

When it comes to the iPhone 14 Pro, you're going to pay £1,099 – a bigger number than America's $999.
Last year you would've paid £949 for the equivalent iPhone 13 Pro.
That's a whopping £150 price jump.
It's a similar story for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which costs £1,199 (versus $1,099 in US).
Last year the iPhone 13 Pro Max cost £1,049 – so it's another £150 price hike.
It's not just new iPhones that have borne the brunt of rising prices though.
Apple has also quietly increased the price of its low-end model: the iPhone SE.
This revamped budget blower launched earlier in 2022 for a thrifty £419.
But after this week's Apple event, the iPhone SE has mysteriously climbed to £449.
That's a stealthy £30 price rise that no one was expecting.
The price doesn't appear to have changed in the US – sorry, Britain.
On the bright side, the new iPhone models come packed with loads of great new features.
And iPhones seem to be lasting longer than ever these days (in part thanks to great software support going back many generations) so you might not need to upgrade every two years.
But if you were hoping for a 2022 price cut, sadly it hasn't happened.
