WhatsApp warning for MILLIONS – the way you text just changed forever

WHATSAPP is now testing a big change for how long you have to "unsend" texts.

The time limit is increasingly massively – and that could hopefully save you from major embarrassment.

Early evidence of the change was leaked last week, with an "unsending" grace period of two days and 12 hours.

But it's now being trialled in the WhatsApp beta test app, which is free to access.

That means it will eventually roll out to regular users too – possibly in a few weeks or months.

It was spotted by the WhatsApp investigators at , who regularly unearth new features in the beta app.

Unsending messages on WhatsApp has been possible for a few years now.

Initially it was only possible to unsend texts for the first eight minutes.

But the time is creeping upwards – and is set at two days and 12 hours in the latest beta version.

Other apps – including Meta-owned Instagram – have no time limit for unsending messages.

How to get WhatsApp beta

To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to  Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.

Scroll down the page until you see ";Become a Beta Tester".

Tap the "I'm In" button and then click "Join" to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.

Joining the WhatsApp beta on iOS for iPhone is more difficult, and has limited capacity.
