TWITTER is rolling out a feature similar to Instagram's Close Friends feature, which allows you to tweet to only a select group of people.
Not everyone has the feature yet, but we've got the scoop on what to expect once it's integrated into your Twitter feed.
What is Twitter Circle?
Twitter Circle allows users to select a smaller audience for specific tweets.
If a person has 2K followers, they can select as few as one and as many as 150 accounts to share their more personal (or perhaps, football-related or Love Island-related) tweets.
How you use your Twitter Circle is up to you, but it should be noted that you only get one.
Only the accounts of people in your Twitter Circle can see the tweets you send to your Circle, but anyone in your Circle could technically still screenshot them.

You will have the option with every tweet you send whether your tweet goes out to "everyone" or whether it only goes out to your Circle.
How do I set up my Twitter Circle?
You will know if Twitter Circle has rolled out to your account if your Twitter account has multiple options when you compose a tweet and click "Share with."
If you're one of the users selected to use the feature, you'll see the option for "Everyone," which means everyone who follows you, or "Twitter Circle."
If you see "Twitter Circle" as an option, you can hit "edit."

Twitter will take you to a recommended account page, and you'll be able to add users straight from the recommended list, or you can use the search feature to add others.
Next, you'll hit "add" to up to 150 Twitter friends, and then you can send your tweet.
Is Twitter Circle available for private accounts?
Twitter Circle is currently in its testing phases for all accounts, including private ones.
If you have a private account, your tweets in response to someone else's Twitter Circle tweets will only show up to other members who also follow you.
It's also important to note that Twitter Circle users cannot retweet your tweets.

If you no longer want to see someone's tweets and you're a member of their Twitter circle, you can use the same unfollow, block, or mute options as if their tweets were public.
It's also important to know that people won't receive a notification if you add or delete them from your Twitter Circle.
