Your hidden iPhone photos are about to become even more secretive with release of iOS 16 update
APPLE'S latest iPhone update will make hidden photos even harder for prying eyes to find.
The tech giant is planning to introduce a number of huge changes to iOS later this year.
But there's one development that'll interest anyone with private snaps tucked away in the hidden folder of their iPhone.
For anyone that doesn't know already, iPhone owners can hide embarrassing or naughty pictures from the main photo library section.
Instead, they are put in a hidden folder at the bottom of the albums section.
That doesn't stop anyone with access to your phone from going in it though.

So now Apple is planning to lock it by default.
The same will apply to the recently deleted folder as well.
This means only those who know your passcode will be able to see whatever is hidden inside.
You can also use Face ID and Touch ID.

The new feature is set to appear on iPad and Mac as well.
It'll be part of iOS 16, Apple's major software update that's expected to land sometime in autumn.

And it's not the only privacy feature to be unveiled, as the company has also worked on new safety settings for those in abusive relationships.
Other major changes coming to iPhone include a massive update to the Lock Screen and the ability to recall texts sent on iMessage.
