Is LinkedIn down?

An uptick in reports was picked up by the Down Detector site just after 8:40 pm GMT / 2:40 pm ET on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

More than 9,300 reports were noted in the US, and over 3,000 were mentioned in the UK.

But some other European countries have cited issues.

This could suggest that the outage is global and not limited to the US and neighboring countries.

Screenshots shared by affected users show an error page reading: "Something went wrong. Refresh the page."

currently states: "Some members may be experiencing issues on LinkedIn."

"We’re actively working on this and will provide updates as we have them," the notice continued. "Thanks for your patience!"

The company has not spoken out on X, formerly known as Twitter.

How did LinkedIn users react?

LinkedIn users vented about the issue on social media, just as European users start their working day.

"Is #LinkedIn down? Can’t access my profile !"; one wrote.

"Are you able to access your Linkedin? seems servers are down," another said.

A third added: "It seems many users are experiencing that our accounts have being “taken down”?"

What caused the outage?

LinkedIn has yet to say what caused the issue - or that there is even an issue to start with.

You can keep track of updates via their X / Twitter page, .
