I’m an iPhone expert – the surprising settings draining your battery life everyday
A TIKTOKER has claimed you can extend your iPhone battery by up to three hours with a series of quick settings changes.
iPhone power usually last a pretty decent amount of time, but if you're ever running low on juice, these tips are well worth a try.
To start with, disable background app refresh.
When switched on, this option keeps apps online so that anything new comes through, for example, an email.
To do that, it obviously sucks up power.
You'll still get things like emails but rather than it working away in the background you'll have to open the app and refresh it yourself.

You can do this by going to Settings, then General, and Background App Refresh where you will see an option to switch it off.
The next power saving comes from changing motion settings, which basically cuts down on some of the fancy effects you see on your iPhone.
Go to Accessibility, followed by Motion.
Switch Reduce Motion on.
Then, switch off Auto-Play Message Effects and Auto-Play Video Previews.
Finally, head over to the Privacy page, followed by Location Services and System Services right at the bottom.
