You’ve been using Gmail wrong until TODAY – clever email hack you need to know
YOUR Gmail has a clever hack that can save you loads of time.
It's especially handy if you send the same type of email over and over again.
has built a feature called Email Templates.
This lets you create a stock email that you can quickly pull up.
And you can edit it with any additional information that you need to add.
But if you send similar emails, it saves you from typing the same messages over repeatedly.
You can have multiple templates saved at any one time, up to a maximum of 50.
It's unlikely that you'd ever need more than that.

"Tired of typing the same reply every time someone sends you email with a common question?," Google writes.
"Compose your reply once and save the email as a template. You can also include your signature.

It's worth noting that Gmail templates are only available in the web version of Gmail.
You can't use your web templates in the Gmail app.
How to use Gmail templates
First, open Gmail on the web – not the Gmail app.
Then go to Settings in the top right, and choose See All Sittings.
Now click Advanced, and then press Enable in the Templates section.
Press Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
This enables templates so that you can create them.
Now open Gmail again and click Compose – like you would when writing a normal email.
Enter the text that you want to turn into a template.
Then click More (the symbol is three stacked dots), and choose Templates.
You can then click Save Draft As Template > Save As New Template to create a new template.
It's also possible to change a previously saved template by clicking Save Draft As Template, then under Overwrite Template, choose a template and click Save.
When you want to insert templates, click Compose then choose More > Templates.
Then pick a saved template to insert into the email.
You can delete templates at any time, which may be useful if you hit the maximum of 50.
