But according to Bobby, that's not entirely right.
"It actually symbolises whistling," he claims.
The punch emoji
That angry moment when you thought the fist emoji represented a punch, may have actually conveyed the opposite.
Despite popular belief, Bobby says it is not a punch at all.
"The right-facing fist isn't a punch but actually a symbol for respect," he reveals.

Most people treat the hands held together in the air as a prayer, or similarly as a gesture of immense gratitude.
But apparently, that's not entirely the case.
"It can also be used as a symbol for high five," Bobby says.
The pointing down emoji
Next time someone sends you a pointing down emoji, it might be worth checking in on them.
That's because it does not always mean look down.
It can also be used as a sign for being under the weather or feeling down.
