Is Yahoo Mail down?

Yahoo has that its Mail site is down due to a "temporary error" which "should fix itself shortly".

Nearly 1,500 outage alerts were picked up by DownDetector in the UK by 3:30pm GMT on 21 March.

Though few reports have been made outside of the UK, suggesting it is not a global issue.

Users took to X to complain that the site was not loading properly and seek answers from the company.

They say they are being met with an 'Error 15' message, which Yahoo believes will pass shortly.

"I'm in the UK - Yahoo Mail has just gone down "We are experiencing some technical difficulties" is all I am seeing, is this getting fixed?," one X user .

Another : "Why do I stay so loyal to my #yahoomail account? It's been unreliable for years. Access is currently down.

Yahoo Mail last experienced an outage on 27 February, where more than 4,000 users reported issues.

If it appears the problem may not be widespread, try checking the internet connection on your device or exiting the app before logging back in.

There have been other reported Yahoo outages in the past including:

• July 2021: Yahoo's mail service was reported down at about 3:30pm for about two hours.

• September 2020: Users had trouble logging in to the platform, with the most reports at 7pm.
