Pokémon Go lets you play with Nintendo’s much-loved monsters on iOS or Android
Augmented reality titles lets famous characters break out of traditional games consoles and invade the real world
Nintendo has unleashed a new Pokemon game.
But this time you won't be able to find all the beasties on a Nintendo console, but in the real world.
The Japanese gaming giant has released an augmented reality game called Pokemon Go, which is now available for iOS and Android.
Normally, Nintendo likes to keep players within its "walled garden", which means games can only be played on its own consoles.
This strategy was ditched last year, when the firm announced its first ever iPhone title: a strange social networking app called Miitomo.
Now it's brought Pokemon, one of its most famous franchises, to smartphone users everywhere.
The game invites players to go about their normal day to day business whilst still catching a few Pokemon.
"Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them," Nintendo wrote.
