Samsung iPad rival leaked online revealing 5G speeds and 15 HOURS of battery

SAMSUNG's secretive 5G tablet is coming in a matter of weeks, and details of the gadget's impressive specs have turned up online.

The iPad rival – officially confirmed by Samsung at the beginning of 2020 – looks set to trounce the competition.

At the start of January, Samsung confirmed that it would be bringing out a 5G Galaxy Tab S6 device.

It would be the first such gadget in the world to support super-fast 5G mobile internet.

Samsung vowed to release the tablet in the first quarter of 2020, which means some time before March 31.

Now tech site (based in Samsung's South Korea homeland) has listed details about the Samsung tablet's hardware.

The device is tipped to feature a large 10.5-inch screen with a pin-sharp 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution.

That would give it 288 pixels-per-inch of screen – marginally higher than the 261 pixels-per-inch on Apple's 11-inch iPad Pro.

Samsung is also expected to include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the tablet.

A microSD slot will potentially allow this storage to expanded by an additional 1TB.

Samsung's current Galaxy Tab S6 (without 5G connectivity) has an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual camera on the back.

It's expected that the 5G version of the Tab S6 will have the same specs.

The battery capacity is expected to be a whopping 7,040mAh, providing an immense 15 hours of video playback.

But 5G also promises low "latency" – the physical delay in transmitting data – which is a major boon for gamers, who desperately need their online actions to be sent and received as quickly as possible.

No pricing has been leaked yet, but it's likely to be very costly given the top-notch hardware on board.

The bad news is that it's impossible to verify this leak, so we won't know the truth until the official launch.

Although Samsung has confirmed the existence of the tablet, it hasn't detailed the exact specs.
