Apple could launch FIVE new iPhones in 2020 – here’s the full list
APPLE could launch as many as five different smartphones in 2020, according to experts, leaks and rumours.
We've rounded up all of the rumoured iPhone models that could debut next year – but none are guaranteed to launch.
iPhone SE 2
Many experts have suggested that Apple will debut a new version of 2016's popular iPhone SE.
The small handset started at just £359/$399, and was popular due to its tiny 4-inch display.
Experts believe Apple's iPhone SE 2 will look like the curvy iPhone 8, rather than the squared-off original.
And it could feature a 4.7-inch display – far smaller than the 6.1-inch iPhone 11.
iPhone 12
The most likely addition to Apple's 2020 line-up is a successor to the iPhone 11.
It'll probably be called the iPhone 12, and will almost certainly debut at Apple's annual September showcase.
Key changes versus the iPhone 11 would likely include a more powerful A14 processor and an upgraded camera system.
Apple's iPhone 12 will probably be the cheapest of the lot (except for the iPhone SE 2), and will come in at somewhere between £699-£749/$699-$749.
iPhone 12 Plus
Perhaps the least likely of all models to launch next year is the iPhone 12 Plus.
That's because Apple hasn't sold a 'Plus' model since the iPhone 8 Plus in 2017.
It would effectively be a scaled up version of the iPhone 12.
This means identical specs, but a much larger display – perhaps as big as 6.5 inches.
It could prove popular, but might cannibalise some of the iPhone 12 Pro Max sales.
And it may potentially be confusing for shoppers because its name is too similar to the rumoured iPhone 12 Pro.
iPhone 12 Pro
An iPhone 12 Pro device looks very likely, following on from 2019's iPhone 11 Pro.
As before, we'd expect the iPhone 12 Pro to pack the highest-end specs and features.
This would include several upgrades over the standard iPhone 11.
Improvements could include an additional camera on the back, a screen with no "notch", or an in-display "ultrasonic" fingerprint scanner.
In 2019, this model was the smallest (5.8 inches) of the new iPhone line-up – and a 2020 successor could follow the same pattern.

iPhone 12 Pro Max
Apple has also set precedent for "Max" phones with 2019's iPhone 11 Pro Max.
This handset was simply a larger version of the iPhone 11 Pro, with a 6.5-inch screen.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max had no additional features compared to the iPhone 11 Pro, so buyers could simply choose the price they preferred.
Large mobiles are much more popular these days, so Apple is very likely to offer a "Pro Max" version of its next handset.
